A vase illustrated on page 287 of The International Studio, October 1910, captioned “Vase decorated by Yabu Meizan”. The accompanying article by H. Shugio describes it as “very delicately painted”, with “a bird watching for a chance to catch the spider in his web on the cherry tree”. The same article says Meizan came to London that summer as one of the directors of the Osaka Exhibitors’ Union, bringing his decorated works for the Japan–British Exhibition; it does not say whether this vase was among them. Present whereabouts unrecorded.
